Adjustable Solar Panel
The Natural Light Solar Attic Fan incorporates a high impact photovoltaic solar panel with a 25 year warranty. The panels are available in 4 sizes (10, 20 30 or 50 watt) to accommodate the correct amount of ventilation needed. Natural Light has developed a unique adjustable mounting bracket that allows the solar panel to be positioned in the angle where it will collect the most sunlight to provide optimum fan performance. The mounting bracket also allows air to continually circulate around the solar panel keeping it cool for a consistent output. Many of our competitors offer a fixed solar panel that can hinder the units' performance.

Commercial Pure Grade Aluminum Housing
The solar attic fan housing is constructed of 1100 series, commercial pure grade aluminum with no seams to prevent leaking. Because it is exposed to the harsh effects of the environment on a daily basis, Natural Light powder-coats the unit both inside and out for extra-durability. Many of our competitors either paint only the outside or do not paint the unit at all. Also, many of our competitors use less durable materials to house their attic fans including polypropylene (plastic), sheet metal or galvanized steel.

Powerful, Quiet Direct Current Motor
The Natural Light Solar Attic Fan utilizes a German engineered direct current motor. The motor is precision balanced to achieve low motor vibration and low motor noise. Additionally, the motor sits in an isolation bracket to further ensure a smooth, quiet operation. Each motor undergoes individual motor winding testing to ensure consistent motor performance. Natural Light Solar Attic Fans incorporate a five-wing, precision balanced blade for the highest cfm output. The fan blades are manufactured using a non-corrosive aluminum to withstand all weather conditions. Many of our competition offer only 3 or 4 blades and some are made of plastic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I ventilate my attic?

The most obvious reason for attic ventilation is to lower attic space temperature during the warmer months. Attic temperature can exceed 160 degrees Fahrenheit during hot summer days. Proper attic ventilation can reduce those temperature by 50 degrees. No matter how much insulation is in the attic, heat can still transfer into adjacent living spaces. In fact, extra insulation can actually add to temperature increases because heat is trapped in the insulation. Proper ventilation evacuates this excess heat build-up. As the heat is exhausted, the work of the air conditioning system is reduced, thereby, saving energy and extending the life of the air conditioning system.

What about winter, do I need it then?

Yes, Moist air is present in Florida year round. Humidity in attics causes mold and mildew to develop and moist air lingering in the attic spaces can condense on the underside of the roof sheathing and rot it out and also causes mold to develop on the interior walls.

Will ventilation do anything else?

Though asphalt shingles are designed to take the abuse of the sun for many years, they are subjected to greater temperatures when the roof decking is allowed to overheat, which is just what happens in an under ventilated attic. Asphalt shingle manufacturers warranties require proper attic ventilation.

The Natural Light Solar Attic Fan has a 25 year warranty on the housing, the solar panel, and the motor.

This warranty is subject to proper installation of the unit in accordance with the manufacturer's written installation instructions. The manufacturer will not be liable for any special, incidental or consequential damages in any way related to, or arising out of, defects in, or damage to,the solar attic fan.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state concerning exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages.
